Having just visited the Colina Del Sol I was suitably impressed with its attention to detail, its homely, organic feel and its wonderful location. The family run Colina del Sol is located on the access road to the town of Torrox and is a renovated old house surrounded by fruit trees and nature. It boasts wonderful views of the surrounding valleys and its idylic position means you get sunshine all day long. There are six airy and bright double bedrooms with views. Each room is a different theme however they all have flat screen TV, radiator for winter, free wi-fi, fresh bed linen and bath and hand towels.

Colina del Sol was built around 50-60 years ago for tourism development in Torrox, mainly Belgian tourism. A number of families bought these properties and every summer and spring came to enjoy the sun and climate.

The house has ample space around it with great terraces from which to enjoy your leisure time and an orchard of fruit trees including oranges , lemons , pears , mangoes and persimmons. The produce of these is served at breakfast.

There is also an exclusive pool for guests with wonderful views across the valley, the town and the mountains. As the hotel is located on the edge of a cliff it gives the impression of floating in a void. The bathrooms at sunset and in the waking day are a pleasure for the body, mind and spirit.

Each morning you can enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast made from local produce. Olive oil , striped tomato, fresh fruits , coffee and milk, as well as delightful homemade pastries. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Costa Del Sol as a wonderful base to adventure from. And somewhere you will want to return to!
